Grape: 100% Pinot Noir

Beautiful ruby ​​red color in the glass. The wine is smooth and silky. A fruity nose of strawberries and raspberries. Then the cedar wood subtly emerges. An almost mineral-like freshness emerges in the mouth, which nicely balances the wine and provides a good aftertaste.

Domain
Felix, one of her sons, joined the domain in 2009 after traveling around the world. As a passionate oenologist and winemaker, he strives to create wines that embody not only tradition but also terroir. At Rois Mages they have enormous respect for the grape and the terroir. There are no fewer than 7 microclimates within the 11 hectares they own that they have to take into account. Purity, elegance and grape variety are the three key words at Rois Mages.

Vinification
After cold maceration, the grapes are fermented with natural yeasts in concrete barrels. the lees are pumped over every other day for approximately 15 days. The grapes are then matured in wood for another year. The wine matures for 12 months in wooden barrels, 10% in new oak, the remaining 90% in barrels that are 1 to 5 years old.

This wine goes well with white meat, risottos, meat pasta, but also with lamb.
