Grape: 100% Riesling.

An intense, dry Riesling. Aromas of ripe yellow fruit give the wine a lot of body. This Riesling is full, juicy, has a little sweetness and a nice refreshing aftertaste.

Domain
Weingut Siben is located in the center of Mittelhaardt in the Deidesheim wine region, Palatinate. The domain was founded in 1710 and has been family property ever since. Andreas Siben, the current owner, represents the 10th generation. At the time, the Siben family was closely involved in setting up the German wine qualifications. The family's goal is to bring traditions and modern techniques together in a good way, in order to achieve the highest possible quality. The white wines ferment in stainless steel tanks and the red wines (Spätburgunder and Regent) undergo traditional red wine making, after which they mature in 600 liter French oak barrels. It is very important that the wine is typical of its grape variety and terroir.

Soil
The vines are planted on a soil of sandstone and loam.

Exhibition
The vines are planted in the lower part of the vineyards, which border the forests of Haardt.

Age
The average age of the vines is 35 years old.

Harvest
The grapes are harvested manually in mid-October when they have reached 95° Öchsle.

Vinification
The grape bunches are gently crushed, followed by soaking the skins for a few hours to impart as many primary aromas as possible to the wine. Long fermentation in stainless steel barrels and maturation "on lie" ensure a refined, fruity wine with good balance!

Delicious
Dishes with crustaceans and shellfish, salmon, hot fish dishes.
